Call for Applications for Researchers and Science-based Enterpreneurs

We are delighted to announce two open opportunities from the Swiss Leading House for Africa. Researchers across disciplines are encouraged to review the available calls and submit applications that align with their research interests and expertise.

  • 1. Researcher–Sciencepreneur Collaboration Grant (RSCG) | Deadline: 31 August 2026

    Grants of CHF 5,000–20,000 for joint projects between Swiss and African researchers or science-based entrepreneurs for activities such as prototyping, co-design, market discovery, pilot testing. The lead applicant must be Swiss-affiliated; an African co-applicant is essential, at least one applicant should be associated with a research institution and the other should be a science based venture (sciencepreneur).   • 2. Blockchain AIT — South Africa | Deadline: 15 June 2026

    The Academia–Industry Training (AIT) programme supports Swiss science-based entrepreneurs through immersive, thematic programmes in Africa and vice versa. The 2026 edition focuses on blockchain with a programme in South Africa in July to coincide with the Deep Dive in Blockchain Summer School and a reciprocal visit later in 2026/27.
