GRANTS CAPACITY STRENGTHENING INITIATIVE-COHORT 2

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PRE-FESTIVAL GRANTS CAPACITY STRENGTHENING-COHORT 2 FROM 13TH TO 15TH AUGUST 2025 IN NAKURU COUNTY
The National Research Fund (NRF), established under the Science, Technology, and Innovation (ST&I) Act No. 28 of 2013, is mandated to manage Kenya’s research grants with the aim of fostering research excellence and innovation to support the country’s development agenda. As part of its commitment to enhance Kenya’s research ecosystem, NRF also undertakes capacity strengthening to enhance institutional and national research capabilities, aligned with the aspirations of Kenya Vision 2030.
Effective resource mobilization and grant writing are pivotal for public and private institutions to drive research, innovation, and community impact. In an increasingly competitive funding landscape, the ability to identify funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and manage grants effectively is paramount.
In view of the foregoing, we kindly request you to plan to participate in the upcoming three-day Pre-Festival Grants Capacity Strengthening Initiative Cohort 2, scheduled to take place from 13th to 15th August 2025 in Nakuru County. This intensive workshop is designed to equip participants with hands-on skills in resource mobilization and grant proposal development which they can implement immediately to secure more research grants. By training with us, your participants will gain valuable insights from our success stories in resource mobilization and competitive grant writing.
