House Allowance: 35,000

Commuter Allowance: 8,000

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Qualifications and Requirements:

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

  1. Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of a Senior Human Resource Management and Development Officer or a comparable position;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource, Sociology, Public/Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  3. Certified Human Resource Professional, CHRP (K) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution;
  4. Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management;
  5. Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  6. Proficiency in computer application skills; and
  7. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities entail:

  1. interpreting, implementing and reviewing human resource and development policies, standards, regulations, procedures, strategies and programmes/work plans;
  2. designing of training and development programmes based on organization’s and individual needs;
  3. coordinating the development of human resource information system;
  4. developing, implementing and reviewing knowledge management framework;
  5. developing, implementing and reviewing compensation and benefits schemes;
  6. coordinating staff recruitment, selection and placement;
  7. undertaking human resource planning and succession management;
  8. managing the payroll;
  9. coordinating the preparation of agenda and minutes for the management human resource advisory committee;
  10. developing human resource management information systems;
  11. managing the leave system;
  12. monitoring performance management system; and
  13. Managing staff welfare.
