ICT Research Hub

Kibabii University, with a KES 64.6 million grant from the NRF, established a state-of-the-art ICT Research and Innovation Hub. This hub, comprising five specialized labs (digital forensics, software development, mobile computing, e-learning studio, and data center) equipped with advanced tools, aims to be a regional center of excellence in ICT research, innovation, and training, aligning with Kenya’s Vision 2030. It supports postgraduate programs (like MSc Digital Forensics), fosters innovation, and builds industry linkages. The project significantly contributes to national cybersecurity preparedness, youth digital skilling, and decentralizing high-end ICT capacity to Western Kenya.
