NRF Partners in Launch of HERI Africa to Strengthen Evidence-Based Education
The National Research Fund (NRF) is proud to have partnered in the successful launch of Harnessing Education for Impact in Africa (HERI Africa), an initiative that places research at the heart of improving education systems across the continent.
The launch took place at Kisii University and was officiated by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba. The event brought together policymakers, academics, international organisations, and community stakeholders, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening education through evidence-informed decision-making.
NRF was represented by our CEO, Prof. Dickson Andala, along with NRF staff members. Their presence underscores NRF’s commitment to supporting Africa-led research that generates actionable evidence to guide policies and enhance learning outcomes.
As a key partner, NRF is excited to see research being prioritised as a driver of policy and practice. Initiatives like HERI Africa align with our mission to promote rigorous, locally-led research that informs decisions and strengthens education systems for the benefit of learners and communities across Africa.
We celebrate this important milestone and look forward to continued collaboration with institutions across the region, ensuring that evidence-based insights transform education outcomes for generations to come.
