NRF Holds Strategic Partnership Meeting with Multimedia University of Kenya

The National Research Fund (NRF) held a strategic partnership meeting with the Board of Research and Innovation of Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU), led by Chairperson Prof. Moses Odeo and Director Dr. David Wekesa, to review ongoing collaborations and explore new research initiatives for the 2026/2027 financial year.

The meeting highlighted the tangible outcomes of NRF-supported initiatives, which enabled MMU to award Kshs 6 million to 10 research projects under its 8th Call for Internal Research Grants for 2025/2026. This achievement reflects NRF’s broader impact in funding research projects across the country, strengthening institutional capacity, and supporting innovation that addresses national development priorities, including health, agriculture, climate resilience, and technology.

Through engagements like this, NRF continues to enable universities and researchers to generate high-quality knowledge, access competitive funding, and translate research into solutions that drive Kenya’s socio-economic development.
