Powered by Africa Cyber Defense Forum in partnership with National Research Fund, CTFRoom, Threatseal, Communication authority of Kenya, Shadowserver, Africa Hackathon and FIRST, the Cyber Carnival was held on June 11-13 at the Kalamata Restaurant, Nairobi. It brought together experts, young innovators, cybersecurity professionals, creatives, and the public with the aim of innovating, securing, and celebrating Africa.
The carnival blended cutting-edge cybersecurity workshops, hackathons, and panel sessions with Nairobi’s rich cultural flair—think street food, Afrobeat DJs, Afrofuturism art, and neon-themed décor under “Neon Byte Rebellion. The event culminated in an award ceremony where top-performing Cyberlympics teams received prizes, internship offers, and job placements.
